A cold morning reminds me that the winter is still not over. The sun is strong but holds no warmth. Not yet.

Frost thwarts the garden’s awakening.

The way this snow pile is melting reminds me of a quartz crystal. It is slowly opening to reveal its secrets.

On the way to see the giant’s fingers, still trapped by snow.

After the Easter weekend, the snow begins to retreat. Cold temperatures still makes my walk interesting but there are signs everywhere of the approaching spring. Although the calendar has already proclaimed it, the ground is still not sure.

A glowing promise of spring.

Snow still surrounds the bench but its hold is more precarious. It will not hold sway much longer.

Off the path, the snow still reigns. From this angle, the little tree looks small and alone.

Through the trees, the sky is an expanse of blue and white.
